Naturally Holey Beach Stone, Coquinoid Sandstone with Calcite Crystals
Tumbled by the tides and time.
Wild caught by me along the shores of the Treasure Coast.
The stone is 1 1/4” x 1 1/8” x 1/2” thick.
The hole easily accommodates 20 gage wire.
It is speckled shades gray and ivory. The stone has a light sparkle in the sunlight coming off the calcite crystals prevalent along the ivory threads in this stone...Natural beach druzy.
Lots of natural sparkle. It’s difficult to catch the sparkle in a photo...but it is there.
The last 3 photos I used a loop to help enlarge.
How cool is it to have a hag stone with crystals...
It holds nicely in your hand...the entire stone is worn. No sharp edges.
Interesting stone...The light sparkle initially drew my attention, but I really like the interesting shape. It makes me wonder... It would make an awesome focal bead for natural necklace....
